The Idea Behind the London Psychoanalysis and Psychothereapy Book Club

The motivation for forming this group was to create a place where one could discuss a single book which everyone at that point had just finished reading.

I enjoy these kinds of discussions and they seem (even in training environments), few and far between. I also see the group functioning as a way of meeting people involved in the different fields of mental health, a place to bounce ideas around outside the subject-specific boundaries of psychology, psychotherapy, psychoanalysis, and psychiatry.

A little bit about me: I am an English Lecturer at London Metropolitan University and in the process of finishing an Integrative MA in Psychotherapy. I have been working with clients for about a year now.

Please feel free to email me with any further questions about the group (psychobookclub at gmail.com).
